Katie Deas

Clinical Services Manager

Clinical Services Manager

In 2018, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mental Health Nursing and began my career within the NHS working in adult mental health services in the community. This allowed me to develop my basic nursing skills quickly whilst increasing my understanding of all mental health conditions and their impact on functioning. As my career advanced, my responsibilities grew, leading to my promotion to the role of charge nurse. My interest in neurodiversity was sparked when I began working on the NHS ADHD waiting list initiative. This allowed me to assess, diagnose and explore treatment options. My passion for helping neurodivergent patients flourished hence the reason for joining ADHD Direct in 2022. I thoroughly enjoy my work here as it provides me with the chance to assess and diagnose both ADHD and ASD patients, and also to participate in the treatment of ADHD.
Outside of work, I take pleasure in attending music events, travelling, and going to football games.

Katie’s Feedback:

“Reception staff were lovely and welcoming. Katie was great, she was so patient and ensured she was very thorough, explaining everything in as much detail as I needed. She was excellent with my child who was being assessed. She noticed when I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and used that opportunity to show me visuals instead of talking about medication (I have ADHD too). Thank you for all your help Katie, you made the whole experience much easier than I anticipated.”
