Cancellation/No-Show Policy

General Policy

At ADHD Direct, we understand that unexpected things happen and you may not always be able to attend your appointment. However, missed appointments without notice prevent other patients from receiving care.

If you cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible by:

This helps us manage our clinics efficiently and make the best use of our clinicians’ time.

Deposits and Payments

  • Deposits for ADHD assessments and payments for medication review appointments are non-refundable.
  • This policy ensures we can manage our time and resources responsibly.

Medication Review Appointments

  • All medication review payments are non-refundable.
  • Patients may reschedule if you contact us more than 72 hours before your appointment.
  • Rescheduling requests made within 72 hours cannot be accommodated, and the full payment will be retained.
  • To reschedule, contact the clinic by phone (0141 230 3635) or email (enquiries@adhddirect.co.uk).

Assessment Appointments and Transfer Your Care Appointments

  • Assessment deposits are 100% non-refundable.
  • Patients may reschedule your assessment if you contact us at least 72 hours before your appointment.
  • Rescheduling requests made within 72 hours cannot be accommodated, and the full payment will be retained.
  • To reschedule, contact the clinic by phone (0141 230 3635) or email (enquiries@adhddirect.co.uk).

    Patients who pay in full:
  • If you choose to pay the full assessment or Transfer Your Care fee when booking, please note that the equivalent of the deposit (25% of the total fee) is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel your appointment, a 25% cancellation fee will be retained, and any remaining balance will be refunded in accordance with the cancellation timeframes below.

If you’ve already made your follow-up payment, refunds will depend on how much notice you give:

Lateness Policy

Please arrive on time to make the most of your session and avoid disruption.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be rescheduled, and:

  • For Medication Reviews or Counselling Sessions – patients who are late will still pay 100% of the fee.
  • For ADHD Assessments – the patients deposit will be retained by ADHD Direct.

Refund Fees (Stripe Charges)

We use Stripe to process payments. When refunds are issued, Stripe charges a small non-refundable fee, which will be deducted from your refund:

  • UK cards: 1.4% + 20p
  • EEA cards: +1.1%
  • International cards: 2.9% + 20p

This fee covers the amount ADHD Direct pays to Stripe for processing. No other refund processing fees are applied.

Refunds will always be returned to your original payment method.
