Scottish Health Awards 2023 (nomination) – Doctor of the Year

I graduated from the University of Dundee in 2012, where I gained valuable exposure to various medical fields. Building on this experience, I entered specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and for the past 10 years, I have worked as an advanced trainee and specialist doctor. My diverse experiences in both clinical and non-clinical settings have honed my communication skills and deepened my understanding of patients as individuals.

Through my work with a variety of patients, I recognized the need to understand the comprehensive aspects of care that contribute to a patient’s well-being. This realization sparked my interest in addressing the needs of those experiencing menopause, menstrual disorders, and PMDD, highlighting a significant population that is often underrepresented and misunderstood.

My growing interest in neurodivergence led me to focus on ADHD where I work within the Clinical team as a specialist doctor focussing on the treatment, titration, and management of patients with ADHD. I am available for consultations, either as an appointment or through the Online Medication Intervention service. My role also encompasses reviewing patients’ responses to medications and identifying ways to optimize ADHD management. I am dedicated to empowering patients by enhancing their knowledge and understanding of ADHD medication and its effects. I continue to contribute to the advancement of ADHD care and understanding.
